Our history

More than a House, more than a Heritage, more than a Champagne, a story that continues to be written.

Five generations

Located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, our family estate has been upholding the tradition of winemakers who harvest and process their own grapes for five generations. Here, viticulture is not merely a profession: it is a legacy, a living heritage, shaped by time, the skills and the passion of those who came before us.

From the first plots cultivated by our ancestors to the present day, each generation has contributed to the estate’s legacy. Respect for the terroir, precision in our work and a commitment to excellence have become the cornerstones of our identity.

Today, Alix and Maxime Rousseaux represent the new generation at the helm of the estate.

Alix

Alix, a biotechnology engineer specialising in alcoholic fermentation, has spent fifteen years developing industrial fermentation processes and new biocontrol, biofertiliser and biostimulant solutions for agriculture and viticulture.

This rare experience gives her a detailed understanding of fermentation processes, microbiology and technical precision. She brings a scientific, rigorous and innovative perspective to the estate, which naturally enriches the family’s expertise.

Maxime

Maxime, for his part, has specialised in vineyard management. Having always been deeply rooted in the Champagne vineyards, he has an intimate understanding of the soils, the plots and the rhythms of nature.

As head of the vineyard, he oversees every stage of the growing cycle: pruning, trellising, soil management, vineyard protection, right through to the harvest. His expertise in living organisms ensures a raw material of impeccable quality, true to the spirit of previous generations.

Tradition and modernity

Together, they combine tradition and modernity: — one through hands-on experience and a mastery of the vineyard, — the other through a scientific understanding of fermentation and winemaking.

This rare and precious synergy gives rise to precise, authentic and luminous Champagnes, true to their origins and to the spirit of the House.
Each cuvée thus tells a story: that of an exceptional terroir, of a family united by a passion for wine, and of a savoir-faire that reinvents itself without ever losing sight of its roots.
